How To Find The Perfect Whey Protein Powder

Practically anyone who is involved in bodybuilding and working out will find themselves searching for the perfect whey protein. Whey protein which comes in the form of powder is drunk either before or after a workout, after it’s been mixed with milk or water. Consuming whey helps the muscles to repair themselves as they are worked, and it also helps athletes avoid having sore muscles in between workouts.
There are a number of things you need to consider when you go out to buy protein powder because the different makes and brands can vary considerably. First of all, you want to be absolutely certain that you spend your cash on a good quality product that won’t let you down. Finding the perfect whey protein should be your first priority, considering its best not to change brands all the time.
Locating the perfect whey protein involves learning about the purity of the different protein powders available on the market. There are so many out there that it can be difficult to know which are the most pure. One way you can tell is by looking at the fat content. The purest powder will have 2 or less grams of fat for each 25 grams of protein.
You can also look at the amount of carbohydrates when you are looking to buy protein powder. The higher the carb and sugar content, the less amount of lactose was removed during the filtration process. Aim for buying protein powder that has no more than 3 grams of carbohydrates per serving.
You also need to factor taste into the equation when you buy protein powder. After all, if it tastes disgusting, you’re not very likely to drink enough of it. The perfect whey protein drink will always taste superior to cheap poor quality powders, even though there are several different flavors to choose from in practically all price ranges. Even though there are a number of flavors, chocolate, vanilla, and banana tend to be the most popular.
Price is another factor to thing about when you are searching for the perfect whey protein powder. You can buy protein powder that ranges from a few dollars to over one hundred in price. The different costs will depend on the quality as well as quantity of the powder that you receive in return.
Keep in mind that you do not have to shell out a great deal of money to get good tasting, high quality protein powder. You will want to experiment with different brands to find the right flavor and quality for you. It’s best to start with the low to mid-range of prices, so that hopefully you can find something that you like that won’t be too hard on your budget.
Finding the perfect whey protein powder can be quite a daunting task, but as you’ve noticed in this article, there are certain things you can consider in order to make the task that much easier. Basically, your main concerns should be with price, quality, and taste. Above all, avoid the temptation to spend more than what you can afford when you buy protein powder, because you can have those big muscles you want without having to end up broke in the process.

The No BS Guide To The Best Supplements For Beginner Bodybuilders

If your new to Bodybuilding your probably overwhelmed right now by the choice of Nutritional Supplements available on the market. Honestly – you would need a PHD to be able to determine what half of the stated ingredients actually consist of. Let alone do! Nonetheless, if used correctly and in conjunction with a strict Training routine and Diet, they can be very useful in giving you ‘the edge.’ This Article is a guide to the top 3 Best Supplements for Bodybuilding.
You know, before we jump into talking about the best Supplements to consider its very key to put paid to a well perpetuated misconception. Supplements will only work to their fullest capacity when your Training and your Diet are already spot on. Anything less and you may be sorely disappointed by the lack of any Supplements capacity to bring you strength or muscle gains. So get your house in order before expecting miracles!
The fact is: If you haven’t got your game tight. Sort that out first before investing in any type of Supplement. The best Supplements work on the principle that you are already doing everything else correctly. Only then will you reap a maximized benefit from taking any.
Lastly, remember also that Supplements should only ever enhance a good Diet. If you do, you will reap far greater rewards and push your body beyond its usual natural capabilities.
Right then. Now thats said and done, its time to find out exactly what are the Best Supplements ever. The first one is sure to surprise you!
Unbelievably to a lot of people – humble Water is actually the number one best Supplement for both Bodybuilding and Fat Loss. Best of all its free! The key thing about the incredible power of water is that as well as raising your metabolism and promoting Fat loss it actually transports vital hydration to your muscles and removes the toxins that build up during intense workouts. As our bodies mainly consist of water this is the true foundational cornerstone of any Supplementation program. In fact, water is as essential as any bought Supplement because many other products such as Creatine, Protein Powders and more, rely on a large intake of water to enable their effectiveness. Drink at least ten large glasses a day.
For Bodybuilders, the other best supplements to add to your diet are protein powder or high Protein Meal Replacement Shakes. Both are inexpensive and very convenient to take. Because it is in powder form, you can easily mix Protein Powder with milk, juice, or even plain water. The most popular type of protein powder is Whey protein, which comes directly from milk. This should help increase your ability to gain more muscle. What’s even better is that whey protein tastes a bit better than most protein powders and is the fastest absorbed type of Protein. Perfect for a pre or post workout muscle boost!
You might also want to get your daily dose of multivitamins. This is actually just sort of an insurance policy – you may or may not need it, but it is good to have just in case. Bodybuilders require an abundance of key vitamins and nutrients, so it is best to take multivitamins regularly.
So thats the top three. Of course there are many others that could have also easily made it onto the list of Best Supplements but due to the nature of Article Writing, it would take many pages to even scratch the surface. Other considerations are Creatine Monohydrate and NOS to name but two. m

The Important of Whey Protein Powder

As a mother, we usually come across the word whey in certain products when we do our groceries. I for instance, saw an infant’s milk that has hydrolyzed whey protein content. I was wondering what hydrolyzed whey means. It is stated that it can reduce allergic reactions to infants. And why is that? In the process of a cow’s milk turning into a cheese, two main proteins separate; casein (solid component) and whey protein (liquid component). Milk is composed of approximately 20% casein and approximately 80% whey protein. Whey Protein is known to be “Gold Standard” because it is of very high quality and it consists of essential amino acids such as leucine, lysine and valine. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. In a simple definition, it is the building block for a healthy body. It can be found on meats like beef and chicken. In most recent studies, whey protein is proved to be effective for weight loss, infant nutrition and immune support. This factual information brought me to understanding the use of hydrolyzed whey protein in infant formula. Whey protein is known around the world for its health benefits especially to bodybuilders, athletes, dieters and everyone involved in extraneous activities. When athletes and bodybuilders work out, the level of amino acids in the blood decreases which is taken up by the muscles. And that will result to fatigue or stress. Right after the exercise, whey is used to promote the level of amino acids in the blood. As for the case of dieters and for those who wishes to lose weight or some fats, whey protein helps in balancing the amount of sugar in the body. And if this thing happens, it lowers you’re appetite. That is the thing, though crave for food lessened, the amount of energy will be greater and fat loss is higher. Whey protein is in a micronized powder appearance and is sold in an instant soluble powder. A lot of brands and types of whey protein powders are available in the market like 100% Whey, Methoxy Pro and Nitrotech. There are many studies that whey protein boots the immune system by increasing the glutathione levels. With the right amount of whey protein intake, you are good to go. But how much whey protein should we take? Well that depends on your goal if you want to lose weight or you are a bodybuilder. From the Gym Sports Research Center, training athletes usually burn up 25 grams of whey protein in a day. And according to some studies, a bodybuilder normally uses 150 grams or more in a day workout and that depends also on body weight. It is recommended that you take 1 gram of protein (or less) per pound of body weight. From these research studies and actual facts gathered, whey protein powder is simply the best. Just don’t forget to read the labels for you to know which kind will suit your taste and of course, for mothers like me, depending on the budget. Find the best weight loss shake for their nutritional needs. To learn more about the different proteins, including whey protein, casein and whole food sources,

100% Whey Protein – Gold Standard Review

It is often said in 100% Whey Protein – Gold Standard reviews of whey protein powders and other health products, diet and fitness, the product is delicious. I try and I am disappointed. People who are clear about protein powder Rave with good food (that’s what comes of living on egg whites and skinless chicken), or compared to some really horrible stuff out there unaquainted. The best thing I have to say about the taste of these products, it’s interesting. So let me say that the flavor of this very interesting protein whey.  It could certainly be improved by ‘addition of ice, but it seems quite contrary to the spirit of the consumption of protein powder.

sold, I’m on this sort of thing, because it passes the test of children. My kids love it. Like most children, aren’t remember interesting, and you aren’t eat delicious and nutritious food we put in front of them every night. Also, like most children, who love chocolate. Double rich chocolate version is convincingly chocolatey to anyone who’s most famous (like my kids). Can I put this powder in a Nestle Fast chocolate milk if that’s (Note: I don’t really lie and say this is the Fast Nestle but I doubt Shakey on a moral basis and I’m sure it will pay for a day), and don t completely happy with it. I, alas, I’m sort of a connoisseur of chocolate and can’t be easily fooled as my kids, but I find the flavor entirely correct. I suspect that when the house of my first real taste Nestle Fast Kids a friend, ask what Father’s been fed, and there must be some kind of responsibility, but through that bridge when the time comes. Meanwhile, Don’t get a relatively good protein supplement for meat and fish that they won’t eat dinner.

Technically, add the milk powder in quite easily, although I find it works better when I make a thick paste, add a little ‘milk for the powder and milk. If you try to mix the powder into a glass of milk, you never get rid of lumps. (I tried with the mixture of water and don’t want to – that sounds revolting – but if you go this route, I’d put it in a blender with ice, a banana, a little ‘vanilla and a pinch chocolate syrup.) (Good, I like to know the best of me, I went into the kitchen and I wanted the recipe and that was kind of good, I tried again with some blackberries and it is actually almost good.) say anything about the quality of the product compared to other protein powders (that would require a large scale), and I have no basis to say that is an interesting product for body builders or those who simply exercise . On the basis of no apparent malnutrition in my family, apparently, do no harm. Accept the label amino acid composition more accurate, it should be nutritious. On the basis of price and taste, is a solid product.

The Best Whey Protein On The Market

Everything that we have been looking for in a whey product has been delivered by Action Whey. Great taste, amazing quality and a cost that is actually reflective of value of the product. This Whey is a superior product in virtually every way to every other whey protein on the market. Warrior Whey by Defense Nutrition is the only product that even comes close to Action Whey with regard to quality, but it still stands head and shoulders above the high-quality Warrior Whey

It is actually the whey protein that I consume on a daily basis.

Action Whey’s Quality Rating: 5 out of 5 Most products that we review perform terribly on the quality portion of the review, and quality is by far the most important category to take into consideration.

The quality is virtually uncontested. Again Warrior Whey is the only product we have found that comes close to Action Whey in terms of quality. See “pros” below to learn about the quality of this Whey.

Action Whey’s Taste Rating: 5 out of 5(Sidenote: Read our post about Taste Rating if you haven’t already done so!)

The taste is amazing. It is honestly the best tasting whey protein that I have ever had. The taste is rich and creamy. It is made with all natural ingredients and comes from the highest quality whey serum and whey protein concentrate available. When you couple that with the additional nutritional co-factors and the Luo Han Guo Juice concentrate in the Action Whey, it makes for a great tasting and healthy product.

Currently there are only 2 flavors offered. Chocolate and Vanilla. I would eventually like to see some additional flavors added to the line-up, but I am perfectly content with way the chocolate and vanilla taste.

My favorite is the chocolate, but the vanilla tastes great too.

Action Whey’s Cost/Value Rating: 5 out of 5 (If you do it right)(Sidenote: Read our post about Cost Rating if you haven’t already!)

Action Whey retails for + shipping per can. 1 can equals about 15 servings. You can actually lower the price of the Action Whey, by buying in bulk and/or by choosing the autoship option.

It is my opinion that the price of Action Whey is worth every single penny. It is high-quality product full of value.

*See the “Extra Edge” below if you want to learn one more reason I put the cost at a 5 out of 5.

*My one caveat about the price has to do with shipping (see #1 under Cons below).

Pros

◦It comes from Grass-Fed cows◦It comes from genetically superior A2 Raw Milk (Many seemingly healthy whey protein powders come from very unhealthy herds. Action Whey passes this test too)◦It has high concentrations of CLA◦It is cold-processed without the use of acids/ion-exchange◦It is 65% Pure Whey Protein ( no cheap fillers like milk powder )◦It is naturally sweetened. there is no sugar added.◦100% Natural with Nothing Artificial or Synthetic: Contains NO Artificial Sweeteners, NO Sugar Alcohol and NO Fructose◦It is Low-Glycemic, Low-Carb and Diabetic Friendly.◦Contains NO Pesticides, Hormones, Chemicals or GMO Ingredients◦Does not contain Milk Powder- It is Casein Free◦Contains NO Damaged Proteins – It is non-denatured and bioactive◦It is only 90 calories per serving◦It is high in Cystein (unlike virtually all other commercial whey products)◦The whey protein is a concentrate instead of an isolate◦Contains no soy-This very important and often overlooked◦It contains nutritonal co-factors which are absent from most other whey products:◦Organic Sweet Whey◦Arabinoglactin◦Medium Chain Triglycerides◦Sunflower Seed Lecithin (As opposed to Soy Lectithin)◦Coconut OilIf you compare these “pros” to other whey proteins on the market you will quickly see that Action Whey is an all around superior product.

Cons:So far I have only found 2 cons:

1.The containers of whey are too small. When the whey gets down to the last little bit, it is very hard to fit your hand down into the container and scoop the last bit of whey out.2.If you decide to only buy one can of whey at a time, you will take a heavy hit on shipping and handling. It almost doubles the price of the whey! I would recommend ordering at least 2 cans at once to get around this problem. The “Extra Edge” that pushes Action Whey Even Further to the Top

As I stated earlier, it is superior to all other whey proteins when it comes to quality. However, it is not only a unique product with regard to ingredients and processing, the company that distributes this whey is also unique. Emerald Express (the company that sells Action Whey) is actually structured in a way that allows you to get your whey for free or even make an income just by referring the whey to other people! I love this concept. If you want to keep the news to yourself, you can always just buy the whey at retail price, but I think for most people this will be very exciting news. You can click here if you want to learn more.

In Conclusion

Overall Rating 5 out of 5

Emerald Express Whey is by far the best whey protein that I have been able to find. Emerald Express has cut no corners in manufacturing this product. It is the protein that I take personally and that I recommend to friends, family and clients. It will remain at the number 1 spot, unless I discover something better. If you want to read about what Emerald Express has to say about this whey then visit Whey Reviews.

American Sports Nutrition

The Americans usually dominate sporting events. They appear bigger, stronger and have longer resistance. They say that the secret is through their hard work and training. But their real secret is their diet that gives them that strong physique.

Their diet and nutritional intake is different compared to us. So what is in this american style of sports nutrition? I will elaborate some of their diet and nutritional technique for you to have more strength and energy as you play your game.

Do you want to enhance your performance and increase lean muscle? Try the creatine that is commonly found in American sports nutrition.

This will give you more energy to work out longer and harder that will help you get maximum results. Creatine can also help you recover quickly. This supplement will work for any athlete who does weight lifting and any other quick burst of activity like sprinting. You may be able to do more before you hit fatigue point.

Your body converts this unique powder into adenosine triphosphate, which is the energy of our cells, and stores it into the mitichondria of each muscle cell giving it reserved energy. Every muscle contraction is fueled by atp, so we can do more because of the stored atp. This can enhance your performance and lean muscle gain.

This product is 100% pure pharmaceutical grade creatinh monohydrate. You should at least take 1000 grams per dosage. Creatine does not contain any additive and filters. This chemical is found naturally in many foods so it is practically safe. And it will also not affect hormonal levels.

Whether your goal is for maximum athletic performance, increased lean muscle or prolonged endurance, creatine is the answer for you. It also has cardio protective qualities. Creatine from American sports nutrition is the best way to supplement a healthy diet and active lifestyle.

Another one would be the American sports nutrition whey protein. It is a high quality, lactose free and predigested protein. This nutritional supplement is a great natural source of high potency essential amino acids.

If you want an increase in muscle strength, do it with American whey. The ion-exchanged whey protein in this supplement is the most preferred and bio-available for your body. This means your body can utilize the supplementation of American whey better than other types of protein.

American whey protein is also low on calories, tastes great, and mixes easily with rice, milk and water. It also comes in a variety of delicious flavors.

There are many more diets out there like the American sports nutrition that offers protein as the main component of their nutritional diet. Examples of these are the American whey creamy vanilla extreme, American whey double dutch chocolate, and the American whey wild berry.

They just differ in the dosage as you take them but practically the same results. Some of them require a lot of quantities for the supplement to work. And it also has to be taken in regularly if possible you should follow the diet everyday.

You may have noticed in the American sports nutrition’s that the main nutrient they are focused on are proteins.

So what is in proteins that make it so vital in the nutrition of Americans? Proteins are the main body builder nutrient. Protein focuses on the production of muscle cells. Protein also participates in muscle contraction or the movement of muscles.

If you want to have bigger, leaner and stronger muscles, there should be a massive intake of proteins before and after your training. That is why protein is so important not only to athletes but also to normal people as well. Protein also contributes to the height of a person.

If you want to be as tall as the Americans, you have to have a lot of protein in your diet or at least use the supplements that American sports nutrition offer.

We must remember that it is not about the nutrition we get but it is about how we get it and when we get it. There are optimal times where the nutrients we get will enhance our performance and boost our nutritional level. American sports nutrition targets these optimal times in order for our body to get the most out of it and help us be healthy and build up our muscles.

Reasons for Taking Vitamin Supplements

Vitamins are vital for the proper functioning of the body. Fruits and vegetables you eat are the major sources of vitamins. So in order to get the right amount of vitamins, trace elements and essential fatty acids, a balanced diet of nutritious foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, wheat, and dairy products should be implemented into your daily diet. If you don’t follow this routine, most likely you would have some kind of vitamin or mineral deficiency. So to fill this gap you need vitamin supplements. Vegetarians are often deficient in certain vitamins that are only found in animal products. So they need to take supplements to avoid becoming deficient in these vitamins. Children will often need a vitamin supplement because some children do not eat a sufficient variety of foods and may need a vitamin supplement to compensate for this natural deficiency. Many times it is seen that women do not breastfeed their babies due to certain reasons. So the babies must be given proper vitamin supplement. Their parents should consult to some health specialist before giving any supplements to their babies. However, most baby milk formulas have added vitamins so no additional supplement is needed. Often the elderly and those persons suffering from certain illnesses may need to take a vitamin supplement. These individuals may be unable to consume the recommended daily vitamin allowance through their dietary intake, so supplements may be needed. Sometimes due to your busy lifestyle you are not able to take the right amount of nutritious foods on a daily basis. So in this type of circumstances vitamin supplements are very beneficial. You must choose the right vitamin supplement based on your need and deficiency. When taken responsibly, vitamin supplements are able to supply your body with the essential nutrients it requires in order to maintain a healthy life.

Protein Guide

Currently the undisputed king of proteins.

Here’s why: whey proteins are quickly and easily digested (hence their “fastacting” reputation), they are loaded with Essential Amino Acids (EAAs)-including the three Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs), and they contain subcomponents (microfractions) that appear to provide additional benefits. Whey is one of two major dairy proteins and accounts for about 20% of the protein in milk. Whey proteins are available in three common forms: concentrates (lower protein level, more economical), isolates (higher protein level, more expensive), and hydrolysates (partially broken down for faster digestion & absorption).

Casein ProteinsThe remaining 80% of the protein in milk is casein. Often referred to as a “sloweracting” or “time-released” protein because it is digested and absorbed muchmore slowly than other proteins, casein proteins are especially useful when takenat bedtime and during other prolonged periods without eating.

Milk ProteinsMilk proteins are dried milk with most of the fat and carbohydrate removed. Likeliquid moo juice, powdered milk proteins are about 20% whey protein and 80% casein, so utilization is intermediate.

Egg ProteinsAsk any dietitian, “What’s the best source of protein?” and eggs will probably topthe list. Most nutrition textbooks refer to eggs as the “gold standard” for proteinquality. With loads of EAAs and some of the highest scores of protein quality, we’re not going to argue. Naturally dairy-free, eggs are a great alternative to whey, casein, and whole milk proteins for those with milk allergies or severe lactose intolerance.

Blended Proteins

If you can only afford one type of protein, consider going with a blend. Combining faster-, intermediate-, and slower-protein sources, blended proteins give you more sustained protein digestion than single-source proteins like whey, casein, or egg.

Recovery Proteins

There are moderate calorie, fast-acting protein and carbohydrate combinations specifically designed to be consumed immediately after workouts when nutrient needs are great and glycogen and muscle protein resynthesis are at their peak. Many also contain whey protein hydrolysates and supplemental ingredients like creatine, BCAAs, and glutamine to further aid the recovery and rebuilding process.

FIGURE OUT HOW MUCH YOU NEED

For most individuals, 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight per day is a good target. Those who are looking to add size may need as much as 1.5 g protein/lb. body weight/day. You should also plan on eating some extra protein (1.25-1.5 g/lb/day) if you’re trying to lose weight on higher-protein, lower carbohydrate diets, as some of the amino acids will be burned for fuel. These amounts include all of the protein consumed through foods, beverages, and supplements. What’s more, your daily protein allotment should be spread out over 4-6 smaller meals to enhance absorption and utilization. If you’re a big meat, fish, poultry, egg, and dairy food eater, you can probably get by with a smaller “hit” of protein from your powdered mix. Vegetarians and others who eat lots of starchy foods will benefit more from a higher-protein formula.

DETERMINE WHAT YOUR BUDGET & SCHEDULE ALLOW

Single-source proteins offer more precise benefits. Ideally, you might use a fast-acting whey protein first thing in the morning and 30 minutes before workouts, a recovery product containing protein plus carbohydrates immediately after workouts, a moderately-digested egg protein in between meals, and an all-casein protein at bedtime for sustained amino acid delivery throughout the night while you sleep. Now, here’s where you need to be realistic and honest with yourself. Even if you can afford multiple products, are you the type of person who’s disciplined enough to follow such a regimen? If you answered “no,” consider a protein blend. While not as fast as the fastest or as slow as the slowest single-source proteins, blends offer many of the desirable qualities of a variety of different proteins.

TIMING

FIRST THING IN THE MORNING: The period between when you go to bed and wake up in themorning is the longest that your body goes without food. “Break the fast” with protein. In addition to providing much needed amino acids for muscle maintenance and rebuilding, proteins provide more stable, sustained energy than that donut or bagel that you’re currently chowing on. Opt for a faster-acting protein like whey first thing in the morning.

PRE-WORKOUT: By drinking a protein shake about an hour before your workout, you’ll”prime” your body for growth with BCAAs and other essential amino acids. Whey and eggproteins are a good choice, because they are easy to drink and quickly digested. POST-WORKOUT: The 30-60 minute time frame following exercise is the single most important time of the day to get protein. Enzymes and hormones are actively repairingand rebuilding exercise-induced damage as well as replenishing glycogen stores, so your muscles are especially receptive to nutrients. By supplying a post-workout recovery protein containing whey, casein, egg, and simple carbohydrates during this “window” of opportunity, you’ll help ensure that you’re recharged and ready for your next training session.

BETWEEN MEALS: Consuming a protein shake in between meals not only helps keep musclesynthesis maximized, it also helps keep body fat and body weight in check. Proteins help stimulate the release of gut hormones that trigger a feeling of fullness or satiety. Dairy proteins (whey, casein, and milk) are considered to be better appetite blunters than other protein sources – especially when combined with dietary fiber – so choose a product with one or more of these proteins if weight control is part of your goals.

BEFORE BED: Prepare your body for the long fast ahead with a casein protein shake a half an hour before bed. Unlike whey which is rapidly broken down in the gut, casein is digested at a much slower rate releasing its amino acid constituents over several hours throughout the night while you sleep. For this reason, casein is commonly referred to as a time released protein. Casein is also considered anti-catabolic because it’s rich in glutamine and other amino acids that help protect against muscle breakdown. timing When it comes to protein, it’s not just what you take; it’s when you take it. Although the human body processes protein every time that you consume it, there are certain instances when your system is more receptive to protein. More specifically, there are times when you should consume different kinds of proteins.

1 AMOUNT OF PROTEIN PER SERVING.The number of grams of protein per serving is probably the most important aspect of protein powders. Seems obvious, but many people overlook this step assuming that either all proteins are about the same or that the most expensive powders contain more protein. Don’t make this mistake; check the Nutrition Facts panel to make sure you’re paying for protein, not just fancy marketing.

2 ORDER OF INGREDIENTS.By law, ingredients in a food or supplement product should be listed from most to least abundant, or in technical speak: descending order of predominance. The importance of this becomes clear once you start shopping around. If, for example, two products are similarly priced, but one contains a greater amount of a less-expensive protein (you know this since the cheaper protein is listed ahead of the moreexpensive protein source in the ingredients) you know that product is a lesser value. Also, don’t get fooled by the hyped-up adjectives that some companies use to describe common ingredients. Sodium chloride is just salt; proteineous avian nucleus extract is egg yolks; all quality whey protein concentrates are ultrafiltered and contain microfractions like alpha lactalbumin, beta lactoglobulin, lactoferrin, and glycomacropeptides.

3 NUMBER OF SERVINGS PER CONTAINER.Pay attention to this number. Some brands cut costs with cheap “filler” ingredients. So, while you may be getting 2, 5, or 10 lbs of something, you’re getting significantly fewer servings than you would with a more reputable product. Better yet, figure out how much total protein you’re getting by multiplying the grams of protein per serving by the number of servings per container. Example 24 grams of protein/serving x 80 servings/container = 1,920 grams of protein/container. Like the pure protein percentage equation, this formula works best for straight protein powders.

4 MANUFACTURED BY OR FOR?Contrary to what you might think, many companies don’t develop, manufacture, or even distribute any of their own products; they either put their labels on common formulas or have unique formulas created by an external factory. This typically adds considerable costs, which are ultimately passed along to their customers. Phrases like “manufactured for,” “distributed by,” or “packed for,” let you know that someone other than the company that you’re buying from made the product. Truemanufacturers have made the investment in the processing equipment and quality control procedures required to consistently offer the best products. So, choose “manufactured by” products whenever possible.
