The Important of Whey Protein Powder

As a mother, we usually come across the word whey in certain products when we do our groceries. I for instance, saw an infant’s milk that has hydrolyzed whey protein content. I was wondering what hydrolyzed whey means. It is stated that it can reduce allergic reactions to infants. And why is that? In the process of a cow’s milk turning into a cheese, two main proteins separate; casein (solid component) and whey protein (liquid component). Milk is composed of approximately 20% casein and approximately 80% whey protein. Whey Protein is known to be “Gold Standard” because it is of very high quality and it consists of essential amino acids such as leucine, lysine and valine. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. In a simple definition, it is the building block for a healthy body. It can be found on meats like beef and chicken. In most recent studies, whey protein is proved to be effective for weight loss, infant nutrition and immune support. This factual information brought me to understanding the use of hydrolyzed whey protein in infant formula. Whey protein is known around the world for its health benefits especially to bodybuilders, athletes, dieters and everyone involved in extraneous activities. When athletes and bodybuilders work out, the level of amino acids in the blood decreases which is taken up by the muscles. And that will result to fatigue or stress. Right after the exercise, whey is used to promote the level of amino acids in the blood. As for the case of dieters and for those who wishes to lose weight or some fats, whey protein helps in balancing the amount of sugar in the body. And if this thing happens, it lowers you’re appetite. That is the thing, though crave for food lessened, the amount of energy will be greater and fat loss is higher. Whey protein is in a micronized powder appearance and is sold in an instant soluble powder. A lot of brands and types of whey protein powders are available in the market like 100% Whey, Methoxy Pro and Nitrotech. There are many studies that whey protein boots the immune system by increasing the glutathione levels. With the right amount of whey protein intake, you are good to go. But how much whey protein should we take? Well that depends on your goal if you want to lose weight or you are a bodybuilder. From the Gym Sports Research Center, training athletes usually burn up 25 grams of whey protein in a day. And according to some studies, a bodybuilder normally uses 150 grams or more in a day workout and that depends also on body weight. It is recommended that you take 1 gram of protein (or less) per pound of body weight. From these research studies and actual facts gathered, whey protein powder is simply the best. Just don’t forget to read the labels for you to know which kind will suit your taste and of course, for mothers like me, depending on the budget. Find the best weight loss shake for their nutritional needs. To learn more about the different proteins, including whey protein, casein and whole food sources,
